Czestochowa Survivor List

Surviving Jews in Czestochowa (published about 1945)

This database of 2,503 Jewish survivors was published in book form by the World Jewish Congress based on names submitted by the Central Jewish Committee in Poland. The list contains the surname, additional name (if available), given name, year of birth, and present address (Polish town name) as of 1950. We thank the World Jewish Congress for permission to use this material.

Ida Paluch Kersz and Karen Amelia Arnett typed the database and the proof-reading was done by Jacob Slabiak, Bill Feuerstein and Michael Chen.

This database is provided through the Czestochowa-Radomsko Area Research Group (CRARG).

The Czestochowa-Radomsko Area Research Group gathers lists of Jewish residents of Czestochowa, Radomsko, and the small towns nearby (Gidle, Janów, Klobuck, Klomnice, Krzepice, Lelów, Mstów, Nowa Brzeznica, Plawno, Praszka, Przyrów, Rozprza, Szczekociny and Zarki), as well as Holocaust death lists and survivor lists from around Poland, in order to support the search for family and family history.
